What makes CitruSolution North Tampa stand apart from other carpet cleaners?

We offer a cleaner, healthier, and more effective approach to your carpet cleaning needs. Our exclusive system doesn’t use soap, chemicals, or water to “clean.” In reality, soap-based cleaners used by traditional carpet cleaning companies leave behind a sticky residue that only attracts dirt and invites mildew.

Our exclusive, low-moisture process cleans and treats your carpet without the need to pump gallons of water and chemicals into your carpet. Our citrus-based solution is known to provide allergy relief, fight mildew, and reduce dust mite residue.

Along with proven results, our dedication to customer service is why we are NW Hillsborough County’s best choice for carpet cleaning. Plus, we NEVER charge extra fees, adjust our rates, haggle over prices, or do anything less than a job well done. Our quotes are the prices you pay, no exceptions.

This sounds like what I need. How much do you charge? Can I get an estimate?

We are competitively priced despite being the best carpet cleaning outfit in Tampa. We are more than happy to provide you with a quote, which we refer to as an “exactimate.”

Our exactimate is the guaranteed price, and every job includes our full-service clean. We never charge extra for spots or stains, for fuel surcharges, for berber, or for wool. We measure our success by the number of happy customers, so you can rest assured that we never mess around with fine print.

The old spots in my carpet keep coming back! Why is this happening?

The reappearance of old spots can usually be attributed to one of a couple different issues. Sometimes the chemicals and foamy substances found in household spot cleaners re-attract dirt and debris, making the spot seem to reappear. Alternatively, it could be caused by the soapy products typically used by old-school carpet cleaners. The soapy residue actually attracts more dirt, and never really resolves the problem to begin with.

If you have spots you want to disappear, feel free to give us a call. Our citrus-based solution contains no soap or foam and is ideal for neutralizing the residue left by other carpet cleaning companies.

How do I help my carpet last longer?

For starters, keep any large farm animals and motorcycles off the carpet whenever possible. Other than that, vacuuming regularly — about once a week — is your best bet. Florida has plenty on offer to soil your carpets, so vacuums help remove abrasive debris in your carpet that can wear down the fibers and undue wear and tear.

You should also consider ditching soapy household spot cleaners in favor of our Citrus Solution, which we leave behind for free with every visit. We recommend you have your carpets cleaned twice a year, or more if needed. Who you choose is up to you, though old-school steam cleaning is like shampooing your hair then neglecting to wash out the soap. That’s why we use our exclusive low-moisture process to reduce mildew-causing residue.

Additionally, our approach is powered by an environmentally sound solvent that is made from actual citrus rinds. There’s no better option than our formula when it comes to cleaning and degreasing. Plus, nothing smells as fresh!

Do you move my furniture come carpet cleaning time?

In the event that you need a hand, we are more than happy to help you move an item or two. But please keep in mind, we are professional cleaners, not movers. Since it’s best that you handle your own property, we ask that you please take care of moving your furniture before we arrive.

A space that’s not being cleaned (such as a kitchen) would be ideal for items that need to be moved. Otherwise, since our process involves 3 steps, we’d be moving your furniture at least 4 different times… and I’m sure you don’t want us there all day!

What are some of the most important health benefits of having clean carpets?

When your carpets are cleaned using the CitruSolution Carpet Cleaning Process, they are more than just clean. Our cleaner contains a natural occurring citrus product extracted from the peels of oranges, lemons, and grapefruit, and has been proven to destroy dust mites and many other common allergens that can cause respiratory distress.

THE EPA LISTS INDOOR AIR QUALITY (IAQ) AS THE 4TH LARGEST ENVIRONMENTAL THREAT TO OUR COUNTRY.

Most Americans spend 90% of their time indoors. Even in cities that have a great deal of air pollution, levels of pollutants may be 200-500% higher indoors than outdoors. The indoor air is full of harmful pollutants. It may be invisible to the eye, but it is very apparent to the lungs.

Every time someone walks across the carpet, pollutants are released into the air. It can stay airborne for an hour or more, so that the average home will always have these particles in the air. This is especially harmful to those with allergies. This is why we believe that a clean carpet is first and foremost a health issue, and secondly a cosmetic issue.

What are dust mites, and where do they live?

Dust mite allergens can affect us all, and can be harmful to people of all ages. Major universities, health organizations, and the EPA warn us against the harmful effects of exposure to dust mites and their allergens. Dust mites have a significant role in many asthma cases, and are a factor in hay fever and various other allergic ailments.

Most people across America share their homes with common house dust mites. They are microscopic arachnids, and members of the same family as spiders and ticks.

Dust mites’ main diet consists of human skin that we all shed naturally, every day. Dust mites live in our carpets, clothes, furniture and bedding. Most homes have literally millions of these creatures, both alive and dead. So it’s not surprising that household dust consists largely of human skin, dust mites (living and dead), and dust mite feces. UGH!

Do you have tips for dealing with dust mites?

There are many steps we can all take to help eliminate dust mites, and make our homes healthier places to live.

Clean your carpets! CitruSolution is a natural anti-allergen. CitruSolution contains a naturally occurring extract of citrus peels and has been proven to destroy dust mites and many other common allergens that cause respiratory distress.

VACUUM, VACUUM, VACUUM. We can’t stress this enough. When you vacuum your carpets you remove dust mites, as well as their source of nourishment: dead skin. Vacuum your kitchen and hard surface floors at least once a week.

Reduce the humidity in your home. Since dust mites cannot drink, they can only live in humidity higher than 50%, and they thrive in humidity over 70%.
Clean your sheets and bed linens often – in hot water – at least once a week.

Do you recommend Scotchguard?

We do not recommend Scotchguard. Typically, Scotchguard is an upsell that can end up being even more expensive than the actual cleaning, which seems crazy to us. Many folks we’ve talked to in Tampa regret paying for it, and we are glad we don’t even offer it.

We leave you with a complimentary bottle of our proprietary CitruSpot cleaner on every visit, which should be able to handle most spots that have the misfortune of appearing on your carpet.

What is the dark stuff along my baseboards and under my closet doors?

This is called air infiltration. The dark area is residue from your carpet acting as a filter to remove dirt and other pollutants out of the air in your house.
Regular vacuuming should help keep this from building up, and making use of electrostatic air filters and properly sealing airducts will help, too.

Which household spot cleaner should we use?

We don’t use these on our carpets, so we’d be remiss if we recommended that you use these expensive products on yours. Few actually work, and most of them leave a soapy residue in your carpet that attracts dirt, which defeats the purpose of cleaning.

We recommend our free bottle of CitruSolution that we leave for you with each visit. Though if that’s not available, mix together a solution of 50/50 white vinegar and water. Nail polish remover works on nail polish, and for red wine, use white wine. If that doesn’t work, feel free to call us for some ideas on what to try next. We’re here to help.

I used CitruSolution before I came to Florida. Are you the same company?

Definitely. And welcome to Tampa! We are a nation-wide franchise owned by local Florida residents. We offer the same excellent product, service, and fast-drying process as any other CitruSolution, but we focus on North Tampa and surrounding areas.

There’s a reason CitruSolution franchises are popping up in towns around the country. We get the best results, and people love our customer service.

My friend in Pebble Creek said she got her carpet cleaned and her son immediately started to feel better. Can your CitruSolution carpet cleaning process actually help alleviate allergy symptoms?

Absolutely! We take great pride in hearing that our carpet cleaning service has helped our clients, either by reducing allergy symptoms or helping to reduce asthma attacks. According to the Allergy and Asthma Foundation of America (AAFA), 1 out of 5 people in America suffer from allergies or asthma.

The good news is our carpet cleaning process has the ability to reduce allergens in your carpet which can help people in the household feel better. Our proprietary cleaning solution’s main ingredient is extracted from citrus rinds, and when combined with an environmentally-friendly antimicrobial solution, we have an extremely effective weapon against many of the environmental factors that can cause respiratory issues.
